Chamber music piece for Flute, Clarinet, 2 trumpets, piano, violin and double bass Inspired by the composition technique of Olivier Messiaen and the wildlife of the Neusiedlersee, I transcribed and improvised on the calls of birds native to the Neusiedlersee to create this contemporary classical composition. Toadette the Frog Opera takes life on the stage of Stadtschlaining’s beautiful castle, nestled in the serene Austrian hills. Composed by Jack Dauner with a libretto (and costumes) by yours truly. Toadette was first produced by Jack and I as a puppet opera. But we have been busy adapting it to stage, and in this video, you can see some of the results.
